Use the prompt gap as the brief objective
A GEO brief should name the prompt group it is meant to improve. This keeps the writer focused on answer behavior rather than a generic keyword target.
Include answer-ready elements
The brief should specify entities, claims, buyer questions, competitor context, source requirements, and the sections that should answer the prompt directly.
- Target prompts and prompt tags.
- Primary entity names and product terms.
- Competitors or alternatives to address.
- Required proof, source links, or documentation.
- FAQ questions for direct answer extraction.
Define measurement
Add the baseline visibility, target metric, and review date. After publication, compare the target prompt group to see whether visibility, citations, or sentiment changed.
